Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces baldaccii was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. List Editor corrected this name from (sic) to . Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Idris et al. 2017. Labeda established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium biverticillatum (Preobrazhenskaya 1957) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1996. Labeda established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Shinobu 1956) Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 in 1996. Hatano et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Wieczorek et al. 1993 in 1997. Hatano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon.
