Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces blastmyceticus was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. Hatano et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Labeda 1988) Wellington et al. 1992 in 2003. established as a later homotypic synonym of (Watanabe et al. 1957) Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2017.
