Nomenclatural History

The subspecies Streptomyces cavourensis washingtonensis was originally described by Skarbek and Brady 1978. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Wu et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Streptomyces griseus (Krainsky 1914) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018
in 2008. Rong and Huang established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Streptomyces cyaneofuscatus (Kudrina 1957) Pridham et al. 1958 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018
in 2010.
