Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Streptomyces chrysomallus chrysomallus was originally described by Lindenbein 1952. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1959, Frommer reduced Lindenbein 1952 (Approved Lists 1980) to the rank of subspecies. Lanoot et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Beijerinck 1912) Waksman 1953 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Lanoot et al. 2005 in 2005.
