Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces cinereorectus was originally described by Terekhova and Preobrazhenskaya 1983. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 22 in 1986. Lanoot et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. Lanoot et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Nakagaito et al. 1993 in 2004. In 2017, Labeda et al. established as the basonym of (Terekhova and Preobrazhenskaya 1986) Labeda et al. 2017 .
