Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces corchorusii was originally described by Ahmad and Bhuiyan 1958. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lanoot et al. published an emended description of this species in 2005. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018. Lanoot et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Suzuki et al. 1958 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2005.
