Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Streptomyces diastaticus diastaticus was originally described by Waksman and Henrici 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1958, Pridham et al. reduced (Krainsky 1914) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Komaki and Tamura 2020 to the rank of subspecies.
