Streptomyces fervens melrosporus (Locci et al. 1969) Witt and Stackebrandt 1990
Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Streptomyces fervens melrosporus was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. Witt and Stackebrandt formed this name in 1990 by placing the subspecies Mason et al. 1965 (Approved Lists 1980) into the species Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium fervens (de Boer et al. 1960) Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980). Hatano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium hiroshimense (Shinobu 1955) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2003.
