Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces flavogriseus was originally described by Waksman and Lechevalier 1953. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Rong and Huang established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Waksman 1923) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Lanoot et al. 2005 in 2010.
