Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces fluorescens was originally described by Pridham 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Lanoot et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Beijerinck 1912) Waksman 1953 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Lanoot et al. 2005 in 2005. Nouioui et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Korenyako et al. 1960) Pridham 1970 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.
