Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces kishiwadensis was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. Hatano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Sawazaki et al. 1955) Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 in 2003. established as a later homotypic synonym of (Shinobu and Kayamura 1964) Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2017.
