Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces ladakanum was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. Witt and Stackebrandt formed this name in 1990 by placing the species Hanka et al. 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017. Labeda established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 pro synon. Streptoverticillium mobaraense (Nagatsu and Suzuki 1963) Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1996.
