Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Streptomyces lavendulae lavendulae was originally described by Waksman and Henrici 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1970, Pridham reduced (Waksman and Curtis 1916) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 to the rank of subspecies.
