Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Chlorobium was originally proposed by Nadson 1906. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Imhoff published an emended description of this genus in 2003. Imhoff transferred the members of
Pelodictyon Lauterborn 1913 emend. Pfennig and Trüper 1974 (Approved Lists 1980)
into this genus in 2003.
