Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Prosthecochloris was originally proposed by Gorlenko 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Pfennig and Trüper published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Imhoff in 2003.
