Nomenclatural History
|
The species Azospirillum brasilense was originally described by Tarrand et al. 1978. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Helsel et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Roseomonas fauriae Rihs et al. 1998
in 2006.
