Nomenclatural History
The species Rhodocista centenaria was originally described by Kawasaki et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 48 in 1994. Euzéby and Kudo established as a later homotypic synonym of Favinger et al. 1994 in 2001.
