Nomenclatural History
The species Acetobacter lovaniensis was originally described by Lisdiyanti et al. 2000. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 79 in 2001. Lisdiyanti et al. elevated the subspecies (Frateur 1950) De Ley and Frateur 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) to the rank of species to form this name in 2000.
