Nomenclatural History	The species Gluconacetobacter europaeus was originally described by Yamada et al. 1997. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 64 in 1998. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Gluconoacetobacter europaeus (sic) to Gluconacetobacter europaeus . Yamada et al. formed this name in 1997 by placing the species Acetobacter europaeus Sievers et al. 1992 into the genus Gluconoacetobacter (sic) Yamada et al. 1998Gluconacetobacter corrig. Yamada et al. 1998. In 2012, Yamada et al. established Gluconacetobacter europaeus as the basonym of Komagataeibacter europaeus (Sievers et al. 1992) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
