Nomenclatural History
The species Gluconacetobacter oboediens was originally described and validly published by Yamada 2000. Yamada formed this name in 2000 by placing the species Sokollek et al. 1998 into the genus (sic) Yamada et al. 1998 corrig. Yamada et al. 1998. In 2012, Yamada et al. established as the basonym of (Sokollek et al. 1998) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 .
