into the genus Gluconoacetobacter (sic) Yamada et al. 1998Gluconacetobacter corrig. Yamada et al. 1998. In 2012, Yamada et al. established Gluconacetobacter oboediens as the basonym of
Komagataeibacter oboediens (Sokollek et al. 1998) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Hördt et al. 2020
