Nomenclatural History
|
The species Ehrlichia equi was originally described by Lewis et al. 1975. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 25 in 1988. Dumler et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Anaplasma phagocytophilum corrig. (Foggie 1949) Dumler et al. 2001
in 2001.
