According to Lang and Reichenbach, 2013, the original type strain provided by the Approved Lists, TC 14607, is a dead herbarium specimen in the Taxter collection. Due to this fact, Reichenbach designated the type strain Cm p51 (=DSM 14607=JCM 12618) as the type strain in Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology 2nd edition, vol. 2, and Lang and Reichenbach, 2013 formally proposed the deposits.
