The genus Sinococcus was originally proposed and validly published by Li et al. 2006. Li et al. replaced this illegitimate name with
Sinobaca Li et al. 2008
in 2008.
This name is an illegitimate junior homonym of Sinococcus Wu and Zheng 2000.
