Nomenclatural History
The genus Demequina was originally proposed and validly published by Yi et al. 2007. Ue et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2011. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Park et al. in 2016 and Nouioui et al. in 2018. Nouioui et al. transferred the members of Hamada et al. 2012 emend. Hamada et al. 2015 into this genus in 2018.
