Nomenclatural History
The species Aeromonas hydrophila was originally described by Stanier 1943. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 48 in 1973. Beaz-Hidalgo et al. published an emended description of this species in 2013.
