Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Alcaligenes xylosoxidans xylosoxidans was originally described and validly published by Kiredjian et al. 1986. In 1986, Kiredjian et al. reduced (Yabuuchi and Yano 1981) Kiredjian et al. 1986 to the rank of subspecies.

This name was suggested by Kiredjian et al. (1986) but did not include a formal proposal and is therefore considered to be an incidental mention of a name.
