Nomenclatural History
The species Bacillus globisporus was originally described by Larkin and Stokes 1967. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1979, Rüger and Richter reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Larkin and Stokes 1967 (Approved Lists 1980) . In 2001, Yoon et al. established as the basonym of (Larkin and Stokes 1967) Yoon et al. 2001 .
