Nomenclatural History	The species Caldanaerobacter subterraneus was originally described and validly published by Fardeau et al. 2004. In 2004, Fardeau et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Caldanaerobacter subterraneus subterraneus (Fardeau et al. 2000) Fardeau et al. 2004 . Fardeau et al. formed this name in 2004 by placing the species Thermoanaerobacter subterraneus Fardeau et al. 2000 into the genus Carboxydobrachium (sic) Sokolova et al. 2001Carboxydibrachium corrig. Sokolova et al. 2001.
