The species Halalkalicoccus tibentensis was originally described and validly published by Xue et al. 2005.
Halalkalicoccus tibentensis is an orthographic variant of the validly published name Halalkalicoccus tibetensis (Xue et al. 2005). The misspelling originated in the DSMZ Bacterial Nomenclature Up-To-Date and entered the publication record with Liu et al. 2013.
