The species Labrenzia aggregata was originally described and validly published by Biebl et al. 2007. Biebl et al. formed this name in 2007 by placing the species (ex Ahrens 1968) Uchino et al. 1999 into the genus Biebl et al. 2007 emend. Bibi et al. 2014.
