Nomenclatural History
The species Lactobacillus aviarius was originally described by Fujisawa et al. 1984. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 17 in 1985. In 1984, Fujisawa et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Fujisawa et al. 1985 . In 2020, Zheng et al. established as the basonym of (Fujisawa et al. 1985) Zheng et al. 2020 .
