Nomenclatural History
The species Oceanobacillus oncorhynchi was originally described and validly published by Yumoto et al. 2005. Romano et al. published an emended description of this species in 2006. In 2006, Romano et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Yumoto et al. 2005) Romano et al. 2006 .
