Nomenclatural History

The species Ectothiorhodosinus mongolicus was originally described by Gorlenko et al. 2004. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 116 in 2007. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Ectothiorhodosinus mongolicum (sic) to Ectothiorhodosinus mongolicus .
