The species Paenibacillus ginsengisoli was originally described by Lee et al. 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 116 in 2007. Kim et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Paenibacillus anaericanus Horn et al. 2005
in 2011.
