Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Francisella philomiragia noatunensis was originally described and validly published by Mikalsen et al. 2007. Euzéby established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Ottem et al. 2008 in 2008. Ottem et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Mikalsen et al. 2007) Ottem et al. 2009 emend. Ramirez-Paredes et al. 2020 in 2009.
