Nomenclatural History

The species Novosphingobium roseae was originally described and validly published by Takeuchi et al. 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. List Editor corrected this name from Novosphingobium roseae (sic) to Novosphingobium rosa . Takeuchi et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species
Sphingomonas rosa Takeuchi et al. 1995
into the genus Novosphingobium Takeuchi et al. 2001.
