Nomenclatural History
The species Blautia producta was originally described and validly published by Liu et al. 2008. Maturana and Cárdenas published an emended description of this species in 2021. Liu et al. formed this name in 2008 by placing the species (Prévot 1941) Ezaki et al. 1994 into the genus Liu et al. 2008 emend. Durand et al. 2017. In 2021, Maturana and Cárdenas reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Prévot 1941) Maturana and Cárdenas 2021 .
