Nomenclatural History
The species Sinomonas atrocyanea was originally described and validly published by Zhou et al. 2009. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Zhou et al. formed this name in 2009 by placing the species Kuhn and Starr 1960 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Zhou et al. 2009 emend. Zhou et al. 2012.
