Nomenclatural History
The genus Granulosicoccus was originally proposed by Lee et al. 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 119 in 2008. Park et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Baek et al. in 2014.
