Nomenclatural History	The species Mesoflavibacter zeaxanthinifaciens was originally described by Asker et al. 2007. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 122 in 2008. In 2019, García-López et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Mesoflavibacter zeaxanthinifaciens zeaxanthinifaciens (Asker et al. 2008) García-López et al. 2020 .
