Nomenclatural History

The genus Balneomonas was originally proposed by Takeda et al. 2004. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 97 in 2004. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Balneomonas (sic) to Balneimonas . Weaon et al. transferred the members of this genus into
Microvirga Kanso and Patel 2003 emend. Zhang et al. 2019
in 2010.
