Nomenclatural History	The species Flavonifractor plautii was originally described and validly published by Carlier et al. 2010. Carlier et al. formed this name in 2010 by placing the species Eubacterium plautii (Séguin 1928) Hofstad and Aasjord 1982 into the genus Flavonifractor Carlier et al. 2010. Carlier et al. transferred the members of this species into Clostridium orbiscindens Winter et al. 1991 in 2010.
