The species Corynebacterium stationis was originally described and validly published by Bernard et al. 2010. Bernard et al. formed this name in 2010 by placing the species
Brevibacterium stationis (ZoBell and Upham 1944) Breed 1953 (Approved Lists 1980)
into the genus Corynebacterium Lehmann and Neumann 1896 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Baek et al. 2018.
