Nomenclatural History
The order Eubacteriales was originally proposed by Buchanan 1917. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Gerritsen et al. published an emended description of this order in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Tindall in 2019. Tindall established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Prévot 1953 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2019.
