Nomenclatural History
The species Pantoea cypripedii was originally described and validly published by Brady et al. 2010. Brady et al. formed this name in 2010 by placing the species (Hori 1911) Brenner et al. 1973 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Hauben et al. 1998 pro synon. Erwinia cypripedii (Hori 1911) Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Gavini et al. 1989 emend. Brady et al. 2010.
