Nomenclatural History	The species Microvirga flocculans was originally described and validly published by Weaon et al. 2010. Weaon et al. formed this name in 2010 by placing the species Balneimonas flocculans corrig. Takeda et al. 2004 into the genus Microvirga Kanso and Patel 2003 emend. Zhang et al. 2019.
