Nomenclatural History

The species Aurantimonas manganoxydans was originally described by Anderson et al. 2009. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 140 in 2011. Volpiano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Aurantimonas coralicida Denner et al. 2003 emend. Hördt et al. 2020
in 2021.
