Nomenclatural History
The species Geobacillus thermantarcticus was originally described and validly published by Coorevits et al. 2012. Coorevits et al. formed this name in 2012 by placing the species corrig. Nicolaus et al. 2002 into the genus Nazina et al. 2001 emend. Aliyu et al. 2018. In 2018, Aliyu et al. established as the basonym of (Nicolaus et al. 2002) Aliyu et al. 2019 .
