Nomenclatural History
The species Hymenobacter arizonensis was originally described by Reddy and Garcia-Pichel 2012. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 150 in 2013. García-López et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. In 2013, Reddy established as the basonym of (Reddy and Garcia-Pichel 2013) Reddy 2013 .
