The species Virgibacillus albus was originally described by Zhang et al. 2012. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 149 in 2013. In 2014, Amoozegar et al. established as the basonym of (Zhang et al. 2013) Amoozegar et al. 2014 .
